Scientific Meetings

Scientific Meetings of KAOMFR is held three times a year. General Assembly and Scientific Meeting is held in March. Fall Scientific Meeting is in October, and Winter Seminar is in December.

International Congress

Professor Dong-Soo You served as president of International Association of Dento-Maxillo-Facial Radiology from 1991 to 1994, and hold the 10th International Congress of Dento-Maxillo-Facial Radiology in Seoul successfully. And through Korea-Japan joint seminar from 1984 to 1993, there was a lot of scientific and cultural information interchanged. Based on this seminar, Asia Congress of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (ACOMFR) was organized in 1996. The 1st ACOMFR was held in Tokyo, Japan in 1996. A lot of members attended with their diverse thesis. In 1998, and the 2nd ACOMFR in Seoul, Korea with the president, professor Tae-Won Park. Also, Many members in KAOMFR participate in international congresses and announced their works.

Journal and Newsletter

The first edition of the Journal of Korean Academy of Maxillofacial Radiology was published in 1971 and is issued every year. In 1990, it came two times a year and from year 2000, it now comes four times a year. It was renamed to Korean Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology in 1999. The fourth edition is published in English every December after 2001. From the edition after year 1998, Full text of the articles can be read at the web site of Korean Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology through a pdf file. Also the newsletter for KAOMFR comes twice a year.
